Mahogany Balustrade Restoration

As one approaches the historic Judge Alexander Vedder house (ca. 1907), the magnificence and breadth of the porch is a dominant feature of the home. Many years, before, the balustrade was dismantled after years of neglect. The rails and spindles of this balustrade system were painstakingly replicated from mahogany in their original profiles. The massive, bluestone wrap around porch was also restored to its original splendor.
