Lead Coated Copper Yankee Gutters

This circa 1820s Federal-style home in Ghent, NY, sits on a hill overlooking an estate (near Chatham in Columbia County). After restoring the Vermont ‘Sea Green’ roofing, new lead coated copper Yankee gutters were installed. The terne-coted rolled ridge and drip edge on the rakes were replaced with lead coated copper pieces, as well. The painting crew gave the exterior a clean, historically-appropriate new look.
