Jack Arch Restoration

Structures built of bluestone are relatively rare, and this building is no exception. Local legend has it that it dates back to a once nearby (long since defunct) quarry where a shopping plaza now exists. Years of water penetration had caused infill collapses, bulging both interior and exterior 'walls' outward. A major collapse, on the inside, was imminent. After addressing the cause, both affected areas were carefully rebuilt, restoring the structural integrity of the archway.
