Church of the Immaculate Conception - Cambridge, MA
The Immaculate Conception Church at 430 Windsor Street (Cambridge, MA) is an architecturally and historically significant building that has been designated a landmark by the City's historic district commission. The parish represents the expansion of the Roman Catholic Church in the early 20th century through the establishment of parishes based on ethnic group and national origin. One of five Catholic churches constructed in Cambridge in 1905-1910 for ethnic congregations, Immaculate Conception heralded the emergence of the Lithuanian community as a distinct group. As the church was re-purposed for affordable housing, restoration of the clay tile roof and installation of a new snow fence was entrusted to Olde Mohawk's skilled team.
